PROJECTS
THE ROSSMOR BUILDING
About
The Rossmor was an immensely successful project in the North Quadrant of St. Paul with the Business Journal awarding the Rossmor Building the 2003 Renovation of the Year for its 129 True Loft Condos.
Historically the Rossmor Building was a shoe factory but it had slipped into disrepair over the years when it was no longer an operating business. When purchased by PAK Properties the building had been illegally occupied and was badly in need of being updated to comply with current municipal codes. Crowe Construction Management used the industrial feel of the building as a springboard for the sharp New York Style lofts that resulted. The Rossmor units are true lofts in all aspects with 18' ceilings, cement floors, exposed ductwork and custom cabinets. The most important element of the project was its windows, replaced to appear like the historic single pains, they expanse the entire exterior walls, giving the condos magnificent urban views and abundant natural light. This project exploded with the condo boom and young urban buyers snapped up these cool lofts sold by square footage within two weeks on the market and a vibrant community of artists and hipsters has resulted. The Rossmor building was the winner of the Large Restoration Project the Year in 2004.
